Yes. CORT offers Furniture On Your Terms® which gives you the flexibility to swap items, return what you no longer need, or purchase the pieces you love.

If you’re unsure of your next move or don’t want to commit to owning furniture, renting with CORT is a great option. Rent what you need now and buy later only if it makes sense for you.

When you’re ready to buy, visit a CORT Furniture Outlet for high-quality, previously leased and gently used furniture at affordable prices.

Minimum monthly totals vary by lease length. You can rent for as little as $150 per month for a 12-month lease. Your online cart will notify you if you haven’t met the minimum for the lease term you’ve chosen.

No. The minimum lease term is one month. If you need furniture for a shorter period, CORT Events may be able to help.

Yes. Single item rentals are available, though monthly minimums and the delivery fee will apply.

Yes. You can buy your furniture once you’ve completed at least 50% of your signed lease term or a minimum of 3 months — whichever is greater. When you’re eligible, you can purchase the items you rented at discounted prices. Monthly rental payments don’t apply toward the purchase price.

PRICING, PROTECTION & PAYMENTS

CORT furniture rental costs vary based on what you rent, how long you rent it, and your delivery location. Monthly rates are customized to your needs, with flexible options to fit different spaces, budgets, and timelines. Minimum monthly totals may apply depending on your lease term, and your exact pricing will be clearly shown before you place your order. Starting-at monthly rates for the 1-bedroom package on a 12-month lease range from $240 to $295.

What is first‑month partial rent?

If your furniture delivery doesn’t start on the first day of the month, your first month’s rent is prorated. You only pay for the days you have the furniture during that initial month.

What will I pay upfront?

Your initial payment includes the first‑month partial rent plus any applicable one‑time fees (such as delivery, setup & pickup fee) and optional services. Your total will be clearly shown at checkout before you place your order.

When does full monthly rent begin?

After your first partial month, you’ll be billed your regular full monthly rental amount, plus applicable taxes, starting on the first day of the next month.

The CORT Customer Protection Plan* (CPP) covers the full replacement cost of the furniture if it is damaged or lost due to natural disasters or extreme weather events during your lease. This coverage excludes theft, disappearance, gross negligence, misuse, pet damage, or abuse of property.

The Customer Protection Plan cost is equivalent to 12% of your monthly base rent and is added to your monthly payments.

This fee can be waived if CORT is provided with a valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming CORT as a "Loss Payee”. For questions, call 888.360.CORT or email us at [email protected].

CORT accepts all major U.S. credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, AMEX, JCB and Diner's Club), bank debit cards and international credit cards. We do not accept PayPal, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay or China Union Pay.

If you have a CORT.com account:

  1. Log in and go to My Leases
  2. Select Update Payment Card
  3. Add or edit up to 5 saved credit cards and choose the primary card for Auto-Pay.

If you don’t have a CORT.com account, call 1.833.981.0080 and our Customer Service team can update your card manually.

You can delete saved cards in your CORT.com account. Cards set to Auto-Pay must be replaced with another card before deletion.

No. Online orders are automatically enrolled in Auto-Pay, but you can switch to manual payments by contacting 888.360.CORT.

Note: Opting out of Auto-Pay may require a security deposit.

Not always. CORT rents both new and previously leased furniture. Every piece is built to CORT Construction Standards to ensure quality craftsmanship and each piece goes through our CORT Clean Certified™ process before delivery to ensure it is cleaned, sanitized, inspected and ready for use.

Yes. All CORT furniture—whether new or previously leased—is built to CORT Construction Standards for durability and everyday use. Each piece is professionally cleaned, sanitized, inspected, and maintained through our CORT Clean Certified™ process to ensure it arrives in excellent condition and ready for your home.

Our top priority is the safety and wellbeing of our customers and employees. CORT follows the CORT Clean Certified™ process, which includes enhanced cleaning, sanitizing, and inspection procedures for every piece of furniture before it enters your home.

If you’re unhappy with any item, contact us at 888.360.CORT or email us at [email protected] within one week of delivery and we’ll exchange it for you at no extra charge.

If an item is unavailable, we’ll reach out to discuss substitutions. Once your original item is back in stock, you may exchange the substituted piece at no additional cost.

Yes. CORT offers comprehensive housewares packages that include everyday essentials like pots and pans, dishes, glassware, utensils, bedding, pillows, towels, and even items like shower curtains and small kitchen appliances (e.g., toasters, coffee pots, and blenders). These packages are designed to make your home truly move‑in ready from day one—no extra shopping required.

We also rent electronics and major appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, and microwaves, and even vacuum cleaners so you can outfit your entire home with everything you need.

The Move-in-Ready® package lets you furnish your entire home with just a few clicks. Simply choose the package you prefer, and our expert team will select coordinated furniture for your living room, dining room, and bedroom. We can even deliver and set up everything before you arrive.

CORT's Student and Military packages are similar to our Move-in Ready® packages but include built-in discounts. Each package includes showroom-condition furniture for your living room, dining room and bedroom, with three package options based on space and lifestyle.

No. Package pricing stays the same even if you don’t use every piece, but we can make limited substitutions if your space requires different items.

MILITARY CUSTOMERS

Yes, and we thank you for your service. Our Military packages already include special discounted pricing.

Yes. Veterans receive special pricing as well. Please contact us at 888.360.CORT for details.

CORT helps active-duty military families adjust quickly. If you meet any of the qualifications below, you can end your lease with a simple 30-day written notice:

  • The lease holder receives change-of-station orders 75 miles or more from delivery warehouse.
  • The lease holder is discharged, released, retires, or separates from the military.
  • The lease holder is deployed for more than 90 days.

Typically, only one name is listed on a lease. If you need more than one person listed, please call 888.360.CORT.

STUDENT CUSTOMERS

CORT's student package pricing is available to:

  • Students accepted to or enrolled in a college or university
  • Parents renting on behalf of a student
  • Faculty and staff with a valid ID or proof of employment.

A student ID, enrollment document, or employment verification is required.

The lease should be in the name of the person paying the monthly invoice. If the credit card is in your parent’s name, the lease should be in your parent’s name as well.

Typically, only one name is listed on a lease. If you need more than one person listed, please call 888.360.CORT.

DELIVERY, SETUP & PICKUP

CORT provides an automated pre-call on the business day before your delivery with a 3-hour arrival window. If we can’t reach you, we’ll leave a message.

CORT Furniture Rental delivers to nearly 8,900 cities, towns, and neighborhoods across the U.S. Use the store locator to see if we deliver in your area.

Delivery, setup, and pickup are included in one transportation fee, which is calculated based on your delivery address and your chosen delivery date.

CORT can usually deliver and set up your furniture in as little as 48 hours (Monday-Friday).

Delivery times may be delayed during severe weather events or peak seasons. If you need service urgently, call 888.360.CORT.

No. Someone just needs to provide access to your home. We’ll deliver, set up your furniture, and make sure everything is ready for you when you arrive.

To schedule your pickup, log in to your CORT.com account and select Support, or email us at [email protected]. You can also call 833.981.0080 (press 1) with your lease number and requested pickup date.

Per your lease agreement, pickup requests must be submitted at least 15 calendar days in advance. This helps us better coordinate your preferred pickup time. The sooner you reach out, the more likely your desired date will be available.

Important: Failure to schedule a pickup at least 15 calendar days in advance may result in an additional Pickup charge.

CORT Furniture Outlet

Yes. CORT Furniture Outlets offer both customer pickup and home delivery for a fee.

This varies by location. Most CORT Furniture Outlet inventory is gently-used furniture that has been previously leased in homes or offices, but locations also carry some new items.

CORT uses a simple three-level grading system. Pricing and discounts are based on condition:

  • New Condition: Brand-new or never leased. May be slightly higher but still offered at Outlet-level savings.
  • Used Condition: Previously leased and may have minor imperfections. Professionally cleaned, sanitized, and inspected.
  • Bargain Condition: Previously leased with more visible wear. Ideal for customers comfortable with signs of use or DIY touch-ups and offered at the lowest prices.

No. CORT does not buy furniture from individual sellers. We only source inventory through our own controlled processes to maintain consistent quality standards. If you’re interested in becoming a CORT vendor, please call our Corporate Office at 703.968.8500.

MANAGING YOUR LEASE & ONLINE ACCOUNT

Yes. You can log in to your online account or call 888.360.CORT to make changes to your lease after you've signed it.

When your lease term ends, you can:

  • Keep renting with no action required
  • Swap items for a new look
  • Return everything by scheduling a pickup
  • Buy the items you love and return the rest

CORT understands plans change. Review your Lease Agreement's Early Termination clause and call 888.360.CORT and select option 2 to schedule a complete pick-up, request a buyout, or ask a billing question—in many cases, we can help you find a solution.

Contact our customer service team. Your monthly invoice includes your service contact phone number or call 888.360.CORT for assistance.

Yes. If you are not enrolled in Auto-Pay, you can make a one-time payment or manage payments through our Self-Service Portal using your Customer ID and invoice number.

No. Auto-Pay customers cannot use the Self-Service Portal.

Both numbers appear in the upper right corner of your current CORT invoice. If you don’t have your invoice, call 1.833.274.3730 for help.

This error requires assistance. Call 888.360.CORT to resolve the issue.

Yes. Ask your renters or homeowners insurance provider for a Certificate of Insurance (COI) listing CORT as an additional insured or a Loss Payee. Email a copy of the COI to [email protected].

This usually happens for one of two reasons:

  1. You used guest checkout with a different email address than the one on your CORT.com account. Leases only appear if the email address on the lease matches the email on your online account.
  2. You created your lease in a showroom using a different email address. Showroom and online accounts must be the same email to sync.

If neither applies, contact Customer Service at 888.360.CORT.

You can view leases booked after April 16, 2019 on CORT.com, if the email on your lease matches your online account email. Leases created before that date are not available online.

  1. Visit our homepage and click Rent for Home.
  2. Log in using the person icon in the top right corner.
  3. Once logged in, select Leases from the navigation.
  4. Your active online-eligible leases will appear under My Leases.

Create a CORT.com account using the same email address listed on your lease. Showroom leases booked after April 16, 2019 will automatically appear.

Try the following:

  1. Log out of your account.
  2. Clear your browser cookies.
  3. Log back in and check My Leases again.

If the issue continues, contact 888.360.CORT for support.

Workplace leases cannot currently be viewed on CORT.com. Contact Customer Service at 888.360.CORT and select option 2 and they will be able to assist you.

Visit the Rent for Home section of our website and create an account using the email address on your lease.

Go to the account creation page and enter your first name, last name, email, and password. Click Create an Account, and your CORT.com profile will be ready to use.

SECURITY, PRIVACY & SUPPORT

Yes. CORT uses secure servers, encryption, and firewalls to protect your personal information. CORT does not store personal credit card data on its servers.
