CORT's Trade Show and Event Furnishing group one of the fastest growing segments in rental furniture
Politicians, Athletes, Brides and Businessmen Drive Boom in Furniture Rental
FAIRFAX, VA (Aug 25, 2008) - When Democrats gather today to name Barack Obama as their presidential candidate at the 2008 Democratic Convention in Denver and John McCain energizes Republicans as their choice for president next week in Minneapolis, CORT will be there.
From high-profile events including a United Nations Middle East peace conference, an event hosting the Dalai Lama's visit to the United States, Major League Baseball's World Series and the National Football League's Super Bowl, to corporate events and wedding receptions, CORT provides the rental furnishings that make events possible - from the chairs, sofas and tables where people sit and conduct business to the lamps, carpets and other furnishings that make a space comfortable.
As the nation's leading furniture rental company throughout the past three decades, CORT already provides rental furniture for more than 80 percent of all trade shows and conferences in the nation. But CORT's Trade Show and Event Furnishing group is one of the fastest growing segments of the furniture rental business, furnishing just about any kind of event imaginable.
"We work with companies, hotels, meeting planners and individuals across the nation," said Dave Flory, director of sales and marketing. "Many customers are in the business of organizing events for companies and individuals, but maintaining an inventory of furnishings is not their core business or expertise. That's why they choose to partner with CORT to support events of all types and scale."
Wedding planners and brides are looking beyond conventional table seating, working with CORT to build luxurious lounges around the dance floor, according to Flory. Private parties are the fastest growing segment of CORT's events business, as the hosts and planners of weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations, Quinceaneras, cotillions and debutante balls continue to plan increasingly extravagant fetes.
In addition to providing furnishings, CORT also assists customers in designing creative and memorable events. The entire CORT Trade Show and Event Furnishings catalogues are available for download to computer-aided design (CAD) software, or CORT representatives can create CAD drawings for customers. With twelve distribution centers across the country, the CORT Event Furnishings team is always available to assist with designing and planning events.
